Job description
** Please note:
While some duties can be handled remotely, approximately 75% of the tasks for this position will need to be carried out ON SITE with the USAF.
US Citizenship is required; and native English speakers are highly preferred.
Our Agile Coaches lead clients in their adoption of Agile methodologies. You will have the opportunity to serve as a strategic partner and thought leader in our client’s transition to Lean-Agile principles and practices that will enable innovation and the delivery of quality, high-impact breakthrough experiences. Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in software development/information technology
- 3 years of Agile experience (Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or a related field
- SAFe certification (SPC)
- Experience working with item tracking tools (Azure, Jira, etc.)
- Experience with a variety of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.
- Experience scaling Lean-Agile practices, preferably Scaled Agile Framework experience
- Proficiency with leading workshops including Story Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, Story Writing, etc.
- Proficiency in Agile practices and ability to coach teams and programs at varying maturity levels
- Proficiency with organizational and facilitation skills
- Creative problem solving and influencing skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
Responsibilities:
- Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders and team members to serve as a trusted partner during their transition to Lean-Agile principles and practices
- Apply Lean-Agile values and principles to software delivery teams
- Teach team members the skills they can use to improve their processes
- Develop and refine best practices and processes to guide teams through Agile methodology
- Speak in front of groups and lead meetings
- Facilitate knowledge transfer through workshops, trainings and informal coaching
- Collaborate on strategies for successful company Agile methodology adoption
- Participate in developing and refining best practices for projects
- Mentor leaders and team members in agile principles
- Make critical process recommendations and think strategically in order to optimize the entire system
Compensation:
- Salary: Competitive, depending on experience, possible 1099 engagements
